Gratitude Rocks

Updated: Nov 25, 2020

"Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow."

~ Melody Beattie

Gratitude rocks.

It adds richness to every experience and when embraced, can soften even our deepest discouragement.

Seriously, we can't be genuinely happy without it...

We hear a lot about gratitude this season -- but it's so easy to neglect, ignore or forget in times of stress, confusion and just constant busy-ness.

Sometimes, all we need is a gentle reminder.

That's why I'm here. I've come to really embrace small, everyday rituals to honor what is important, and I want to share a few with you...

Thanksgiving is the perfect time to create space for the FEELINGS of gratitude to fill us up. Treating ourselves to even just one simple daily gratitude ritual can offer us a sacred moment to stop the madness, put our energy toward what we are grateful for, give ourselves a little loving kindness and stay rooted in what really matters.

Need a little encouragement? Here are a few super simple, super sexy tips:

  • Grab a gratitude rock. Carrying a gratitude rock is a practice that has been used for centuries to activate feelings of appreciation everytime we touch it or gaze upon it. Any rock that you choose can be your own personal gratitude rock! Carry it in your pocket with your loose change, tuck it in your bra or keep it on your nightstand to see first thing as you open your eyes and last thing before sleep. Right now, I am in love with orange calcite. This magnificently cheery and gently fiery stone vibrates with the radiant, creative and uplifting energy I want to embody right now and reminds me of the beauty within me and in my everyday life. Find your rock, your most favorite gem or crystal, or your signature stone. Remember, the most exquisite crystal gems are over at Wild Mountain Crystals. Keep it with you and let it remind you of all you appreciate in life. Watch as you magically start to find more and more to be grateful for....✨

  • Remember to appreciate yourself. I know it feels awkward at first, but gratitude is the healthiest of all emotions! There's even scientific evidence that proves it has a positive impact on our lives. You have gifts and secret powers that no one else has - remember to honor yourself and treasure what makes you unique and special. What do you love and appreciate most about yourself? Write it down. Own it. Celebrate it. Self gratitude can help boost our self esteem, increase our confidence and rewire our brain and body to think and feel more positively....which naturally leads to better health, greater happiness and more success and fulfillment 😉

  • I'm grateful for the simple, everyday rituals I've learned that can significantly enhance our health and wellbeing. ☕️ For me, a cup of "tea" always helps me to slow down and take a moment of comfort and reflection. Here's an easy recipe for a hot, soothing yet invigorating digestive elixir that is perfect for encouraging better digestion and soothing troubled tummies this season: Add 1-2 tablespoons of raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar and 1 - 2 teaspoons (or to taste) of raw honey to a mug of hot water. That's it! Slow down, stir well, sip and enjoy.

  • Every acupuncturist has her favorite acupuncture point. You know, the one point that we rely on time and time again to encourage healing. This is the acupuncture point I am most grateful for: Stomach 36, Zusanli, which roughly translates to Leg Three Mile. Legend has it that when Chinese soldiers rubbed this point, it gave them the energy and vitality they needed to march another three miles! 😃I love this this point because it feeds us - it nourishes our energy to revitalize our overall well being, strengthens our core energy to support our immune system...and it's considered a miracle point for anything related to our digestion (very helpful at Thanksgiving!) Quite frankly, there's nothing this point can't support!! Rub it to invigorate, support and nourish your energy....or if you are feeling fatigued, nauseous, bloated, constipated, or have any digestive distress. Find it four finger widths down from the bottom of your knee cap, along the outer boundary of your shin bone.

My wish for you this season and always is for your heart to be filled with gratitude for your SELF, your health and your beautiful life. 🌟

I truly am so grateful for you. Thank you for reading my posts, for encouraging and inspiring me to share more tips and for connecting with me. I sincerely appreciate you. 💖

Have a special and memorable Thanksgiving. 🍂
