I don't care if you are a man or a woman.
Embracing your feminine makes you POWERFUL.
We all embody masculine and feminine energies.
Our masculine energy is us DOING: our striving, pushing, controlling, rushing, busy, thusting, assertive yang energy that often drives us in our everyday lives.
Our feminine energy is us BEING: our quiet, intuitive, calm, nurturing, soft, receptive, creative, and patient yin energy ... that often doesn't get enough attention.
When we nurture our feminine, we feed an essential and powerful part of ourselves.
We allow space for healing and deeper levels of love and compassion. Our intuition and creativity flourish. We recognize and receive more good. We are calm and grounded. We are less stressed and more beautiful.
You don't have to take a spa day or perform a complicated woo-woo goddess ritual to nurture your feminine (unless you want to!) ... just remember these super simple, super sexy tools from my magic bag of self-care tricks:
Grab some moonstone - the stone of the Divine Feminine. Moonstone is a luminous, milky, magical stone. It embodies the energy of generations of wise women and is closely connected to the push and pull of our feminine cycles. Keep moonstone close to remind you to tune into your own wise, knowing, soft, intuitive and creative feminine energy. Tumbled moonstone can be kept in your pocket, but this stone is so beautiful, it would be a shame not to adorn yourself with it and wear it as jewelry!
Less DOING and more BEING. It is only in the be-ing that we can gather the strength, energy and creativity to DO. Try to stop -- even for just a moment -- and BE without doing. Slow down. Breathe. Enjoy the beauty of the moment you are in.
Stay juicy. Plenty of pure water, herbs and teas, succulent fruits and veggies, creamy avocados, seeds, and brothy soups are supremely nourishing to our yin feminine side...so are baths, body oils, meditating, gentle movement and moisturizing 😉
Stimulate Spleen 6, also known as Sanyinjiao or Three Yin Intersection. It's located on the inside of your lower leg. To find it, place the pinkie-side edge of your hand against the high point of the big bone on the inside of your ankle. Spleen 6 is on your lower leg, four fingers directly above your ankle bone. Use the pad of your thumb or the edge of your crystal to massage this power point in gentle, rhythmic circles. Spleen 6 is one of the most important and widely used acupuncture points. Ladies, remember this point! It is amazing at helping to nurture our feminine, balance hormones, soothe gynecological issues, aid digestion and calm our overworked, overstressed systems. This point is a keeper. I use it over and over again. (Pregnant ladies should skip this one)
These are just a few ideas to get you started. There is SO much more to talk about and we'll be diving into more ways to nurture our feminine in future posts. For now, I hope these little tricks help. 👆
Supporting our softer side doesn't make us weak. It makes us powerful beyond measure.
Rock on, Sister 🔥
