Anoint your face like a goddess

I love quick, simple and effective.

So when it comes to a beauty routine, quick, simple and effective is where it's at for me.

...but, c'mon.

I also want my beauty routine to make me feel like a goddess 🙋🏻‍♀️

Don't you?

No matter what is going on in my life, I know that every morning and every evening I can do one simple ritual that always helps me feel grounded and beautiful and honored.

I make my own beauty serum and use it to anoint my face.

Making my own beauty serum is not difficult, nor does this goddess routine take any more than about 2 minutes max. - start to finish.

Wanna know how I do it?

It's easy as 1 - 2 - 3.

Grab your favorite facial oil.

I've used many many oils, and often change it up. Here are a few of my favorites, from lightest to heaviest: (Lightest) jojoba oil (great for acne prone skin), apricot oil, sweet almond oil, coconut oil, sesame oil, avocado oil, olive oil, castor oil (heaviest and best for spot treatments or an eyelash serum).

This is your carrier oil. Find one or two that you like best for your skin type and rotate.

Grab your favorite essential oil.

Here are a few common, easy-to-find essential oils that are especially suited for beautiful skin. You might have one or two in your cabinet right now. Use just one or make your own blend:

Lavender -- Oh-so-calming and feminine - reduces inflammation, balances oily skin

Geranium -- Soothes red, itchy and stressed-out skin

Rose -- Revitalizes and rejuvenates mature skin by helping skin cells grow stronger and faster...while making you feel like a goddess

Chamomile -- Calms and soothes sensitive and distressed skin

Helichrysum -- Supremely healing, repairs damaged skin, scars and burns

Jasmine -- Cools and calms angry, acne-prone skin

Frankincense -- Tones, restores elasticity and softens grouchy skin

Ylang ylang -- Anti-aging and balancing ... good for our skin, as well as our mood

Pour about 1/2 teaspoon of your favorite oil into the palm of your hand.

Add 1 - 3 drops of essential oil. Rub oils together with your warm hands.

Breathe in the fragrance

Anoint your face and neck like a goddess

... that means, lovingly pat or gently massage this silky serum into your skin, let your fingers glide over your exquisite features and anoint the face of the goddess within you.

That took no time at all, and yet the effects are enormous.

Not only have you honored your beauty, you've moisturized your face with an oil pure enough to eat. No weird cancer-causing toxic petro-chemicals you can't pronounce, no alcohol or irritants, no waste.

These decadent oils feed your skin delicious nourishment it can easily absorb to beautify and heal your gorgeous skin the way nature intended.

And, you'll smell like a goddess, too.

Go easy at first. My skin is accustomed to essential oils, so this recipe works for me. Start slow and know your skin. Begin with only 1 drop of essential oil in your carrier facial oil. Be sure to do a little patch test on the inside of your arm or wrist to make sure you don't have a reaction. If you added too much essential oil, simply anoint your face with more of your carrier oil to dilute and soothe.

This easy-peasy beauty serum is best used after cleansing and toning. It can be used before your moisturizer or in place of....day or night.

My favorite essential oils are from AncientWisdomEssentialOils.com . These oils are the shizzle. They are 100% pure, high quality oils without the high price of other popular oils. Ancient Wisdom carries all of the single oils I mentioned above, as well as some delicious blends, like Baby Soft, which contains most of the oils I listed above, and then some. Go shopping HERE. If you need help, call Betty at (888) 407-0448 . Tell her I sent you, explain your concerns and desires, and she'll guide you to the perfect oil for you.

How about you? Do you have a favorite beauty ritual?

My friend, Rahel, shared that she loves this easy face mask...

Egg on your Face -- DIY Beauty Face Mask

1 egg yolk

1 tsp - 1 tablespoon Tumeric

1 tsp - 1 tablespoon olive oil

Mix together and slather on -- of course, you can include neck and chest, but I think most people will forget to include the back of their hands! Use the excess for a hand treatment.

Let it dry and gently wash off with warm water.

Afterwards the skin is so soft and smooth and nourished.

It is fun, a bit messy, but TOTALLY worth it.

Yeeeeessss, Rahel!!

Now it's your turn. What's your favorite go-to beauty treatment??
